Jesus Urias is an experienced leader with more than 27 years of experience in the hydrocarbons industry, specializing in the management and operation of LPG and LNG terminals. He has a proven track record in driving operational excellence, leading multidisciplinary teams, and executing complex energy projects in compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
In his most recent position, Jesus led an LNG marine terminal in La Paz, Mexico, overseeing daily operations, maritime and land logistics, customer service, and personnel performance. One of the most significant milestones in his career was his key role in the development, commissioning, and successful operation of the first LNG facility in Baja California Sur, representing a pioneering achievement in the region’s energy infrastructure.
Jesus has extensive experience in regulatory compliance, facility operations, multidisciplinary team leadership, and the management of operational and regulatory challenges. His expertise spans permitting, start-up, and operational readiness, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability. His strategic vision, results-oriented approach, and hands-on leadership contribute to strengthening operational capabilities, advancing energy infrastructure, and developing new business opportunities.
Currently, Jesus leads Regasificadora del Pacífico in the design, construction, and commissioning of a new LNG import and regasification solution in Colombia. The project will supply natural gas to the national grid and help mitigate the supply deficit currently facing the country. The new infrastructure is expected to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2026.
