Our commitment to sustainable events

We have set an ambitious target to halve our Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2050. Our Scope 1 and 2 emissions will be the easiest to reduce in the short term as we have direct control over these and our Scope 3 emissions will require a longer timeframe to tackle, and the milestones that we are developing will be both measurable and achievable. Our target is underpinned by our signature to the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge that was submitted to COP26 in Glasgow, and which has also been signed by over 500 of our peers and stakeholders across the industry. As well, as commitment to achieving net zero by 2050, the pledge also commits us to:

• Publishing our pathway
• Collaborating with our partners, suppliers and customers to drive change across the value chain
• Measuring and tracking our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
• Reporting on our progress

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond the physical impact of our events. In keeping with the ESG (environmental, social and governance) framework, we believe that sustainability also means promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all our operations and practices. We are committed to supporting our employees, customers, and communities and strive to make a positive impact on the world around us.
