Mike Dorris is a strategic leader at Bechtel, currently serving as the Woodside Program Manager, where he expertly oversees all activities for Woodside Energy’s Louisiana LNG project near Lake Charles, Louisiana, and the Pluto Train 2 project in Karratha, Western Australia. With over 25 years of experience in design engineering and construction management, Mike is a seasoned professional recognized for his expertise in leading large-scale projects across the LNG, refinery, pipeline, and telecommunications industries.
Before his current role, Mike served as the Senior Project Manager for Woodside Energy’s Pluto LNG Train 2 project in Australia. His previous experience includes key positions such as Site Manager and Senior Project Manager for Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi LNG project, as well as involvement in significant projects like Sabine Pass LNG, Wheatstone Mod Yard, APLNG Mod Yard, Keystone Pipeline, and the Motiva Crude Expansion.
Mike is widely respected for his strong dedication to safety, effective team engagement, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. His comprehensive skill set encompasses construction planning, execution strategy, quality management, document control, subcontracts, negotiation, safety, and estimating. He is committed to delivering projects on time and within budget, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the construction process.
