Maria Rita Galli has extensive experience in the energy sector and comes to AKTOR Group after a successful tenure at the National Natural Gas System Operator (DESFA SA), where she served as CEO from 2021 to February 2026.
Ms. Galli began her career in 1997 at Eni, where she held important positions in the supply and trading of natural gas and LNG, as well as international business development, foreign subsidiaries and Mergers and Acquisitions.
In 2016, she moved to the international energy infrastructure company Snam and assumed the role of Executive Vice President of Business Development, from where she coordinated the acquisition of 66% of DESFA by SENFLUGA Energy Holdings, a joint venture of Snam, Enagas and Fluxis. She then assumed the role of President and CEO of SENFLUGA until taking over the management of DESFA in 2021.
Ms. Galli holds a master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
