Governor Jeff Landry, senior U.S. officials and LNG industry executives will join a program focused on energy security, project delivery, innovation and workforce development.
LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana – September 28, 2026 – With just under two weeks until opening day, the 22nd Americas LNG Summit & Exhibition is preparing to welcome the global LNG industry to Lake Charles from October 13–15. Held for the first time under the official auspices of the State of Louisiana, the event is expected to bring together more than 150 international speakers, hundreds of exhibiting companies and thousands of attendees from across the LNG value chain.
The confirmed Strategic Conference lineup includes Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry; U.S. Under Secretary of Energy Kyle Haustveit; U.S. Representative Julia Letlow; and Ben Kochman, Deputy Administrator of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration. Mike Dorris of Bechtel Energy, Tom Feutrill of Woodside Energy and Najla Jamoussi of Cheniere are among the industry leaders scheduled to discuss the next phase of LNG project delivery.
The agenda moves from the capital, markets and infrastructure needed to expand LNG supply to questions of energy security, trade and demand across Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean. Sessions will also address permitting, workforce needs, community prosperity and lower-emissions liquefaction.
Technical Conference speakers include Hamish Horne of Cheniere Energy, Steven Borsos of Fluor, Timothy Truong of Bechtel and Bethanne Slaughter of Emerson. Their program will bring practical insight to brownfield improvements, process monitoring, artificial intelligence, operational resilience, carbon capture and decarbonization, gas treatment and marine infrastructure.
“The people shaping LNG policy, financing projects, signing supply agreements, delivering terminals and developing the technologies that can improve efficiency and reduce emissions will all be in Lake Charles. This is where global energy security, domestic growth and environmental progress come together — and where conversations become partnerships, projects and contracts.”
