With over 20 years of experience in government and public affairs, Jason French has represented some of America's largest and most transformative companies in the energy, transportation and telecom sectors.
Jason began the Louisiana chapter of his career on April 22, 2010, when he deployed to Houma, Louisiana as part of the Deepwater Horizon Spill Response. After holding several key leadership roles in the response – including Chief PIO for the Louisiana command center – Jason went on to serve as Director of Government Affairs for BP’s Gulf of Mexico division.
After leaving BP in 2011, Jason went on to build the state and local government affairs department for Cheniere Energy, the pioneer of American LNG exports and now one of America’s leading energy companies.
In 2016, Jason became Vice President of Tellurian, Inc. where he once again built a successful government and public affairs department in support of a multi-billion-dollar LNG export project.
In addition to his long history in the energy sector, Mr. French directed state and local government affairs in Maryland and Delaware for CSX Transportation, a major railroad serving the eastern half of the U.S. He also served as Vice President of Government Affairs for Crown Castle, the nation’s largest telecom infrastructure provider.In March of 2021, Jason founded French Strategic Partners – a full-service public affairs firm currently representing clients in energy, construction, healthcare, academia, and international trade. In January 2024, he merged his firm to create French Cole Strategies.
In addition to leading his firm, Jason served as the first Executive Director of the LNG Center of Excellence at McNeese State University. Jason served on the Board of the World Trade Center of New Orleans from 2014-2021 and currently serves on the Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL).Originally from Kentucky, Mr. French is a graduate of the University of Louisville.
