Amanda joined the EIC (Energy Industries Council) in April 2015. With over 20 years business development experience in international trade and policy, Amanda is an expert in energy, environment and infrastructure, energy market intelligence, industry stakeholder engagement, business strategy and consultancy.
Prior to joining the EIC, Amanda was Director, Business Development North America with Trade & Investment Queensland, Australia. She also served as Vice Consul, Energy, Environment and Infrastructure with the UK Department for Business & Trade from 2010-2014. Prior to her commitment to public service Amanda worked in the legal field for over ten years, focusing on domestic and international policy.
Among her accomplishments, Amanda was a Finalist for the 2021 ExxonMobil Power Play Awards, named 100 Women in Energy Transition by the Energy Transition Economist in 2002. In 2019, Amanda worked with 130 experts across energy, academia, trade and policy to deliver the National Petroleum Council’s (NPC) report to the US Secretary of Energy on Carbon Capture, Use and Storage to define pathways that would lead to deployment at scale, and is an Expert Contributor for Mexico Business News, among other publications throughout her career. Throughout her career, Amanda has served on a number boards, and currently serves as, Board Member for the Society for Low Carbon Technologies (SFLCT), Advisory Board Member for the British American Business Council of Texas (BABC Texas), an Advisory Board Member of the Center for International Studies, University of St. Thomas, Houston, and active in many other industry groups.
On a personal note, Amanda has two children, Inez who is a Project Manager with with a major political consultancy firm, and Maximilien who is in 3rd grade at The Awty International School. Amanda loves reading, aspires to be a good golfer, and mentors young professional women in Houston.
